This year Pain Court celebrates its 150th anniversary. To commemorate this event, local residents organized a hugely successful birthday party held between the 1st and the 4th of July 2004. The programme featured concerts from local artists as well as professional bands such as Le Group Swing, Annie Brocoli and Édith Butler. There was also a locally produced stage play as well as several family and class reunions. This four day event drew huge crowds of people from near and far.

This event was an oppurtunity to remember the roots of our village, its unique cultural character and the people who live in this warm and inviting region.
